Upcoming Lifesaving Courses

Port Douglas Surf Life Saving Club is excited to announce that our lifesaving courses will kick off early 2025, in preparation for the start of our volunteer Lifesaving Season in April. Whether you’re a budding lifesaver, a seasoned swimmer, or simply looking to learn critical first aid skills, we’ve got a role to suit your needs.

What’s on Offer?

1. Bronze Medallion (BM)

The Bronze Medallion is the pinnacle of surf lifesaving training, equipping participants with vital skills in water safety, survival, and rescue.

2. Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC)

Perfect for juniors aged 13 and over, the Surf Rescue Certificate is the first step towards becoming a fully qualified lifesaver. Participants will learn foundational rescue techniques, CPR, and first aid, making it an ideal entry-level qualification.

3. First Aid Courses

These courses are suitable for everyone, and provide essential knowledge for responding to emergencies. Learn CPR, basic life support, and how to handle a variety of first aid situations.

Key Dates

• Bronze Medallion and SRC Courses: Starting February 2025

Session dates will be scheduled based on the availability of participants during February and March with the assessment early April.

• Intensive BM & SRC Course: 7–13 April 2025
