Welcome to the Port Douglas SLSC
We are a small family-oriented club proudly serving the local community and patrolling famous Four Mile Beach since 1983.
The Port Douglas Surf Life Saving Club is a friendly and welcoming club driven by over 150 dedicated volunteer members and affiliated with the North Queensland Branch, Surf Life Saving Queensland and Surf Life Saving Australia.
We pride ourselves on delivering a high standard of surf lifesaving services as well as providing opportunities for the community to participate in surf sports, youth development and the famous nippers program.
Being the most Northern Surf Life Saving Club in Queensland, our season runs during the cooler months of the year from May - November.
New members are always welcome.
Membership Benefits
Port Douglas Surf Life Saving Club has a variety of opportunities for people of all ages to become involved.
Nippers is for children aged 5 to 14, who are the future of our Club and the surf life saving movement. For those a little older, there are membership opportunities to become a trained and proficient active surf lifesaver, and participate in voluntary beach patrols over the winter months.
Port Douglas Surf Life Saving Club provides members of all ages with many opportunities for self-development and growth. Not only making new friends, but learning important skills and values that can help you throughout your live. Our club encourages teamwork, volunteering, leadership and community services.
Each membership category provides differing benefits throughout all aspects of the club.
